Vidyaranyam — Vidya in Aranyam.

A village of Gurus, living in harmony with nature

Vidyaranyam is a village of Gurus living in harmony with nature. It is not a school campus but a community where learning happens naturally by way of life.

Vidyaranyam brings back the ancient Indian Gurukulam system, where the Shishyas live with the Guru and seek knowledge in a natural setting.

“Where learning is not confined to a classroom, but unfolds with nature, with the Guru, and with life itself.”

Learning along the way of life

Knowledge that flows from three sources

At Vidyaranyam, knowledge is not confined to books and classrooms. It flows through relationships, responsibilities and reverence for all of life.
  • From the Guru

    Wisdom, discipline and values

Wisdom is imparted through guidance, example and grace.

  • From the Community

    Seva, empathy and cooperation

Seva, shared living and daily responsibilities teach empathy, respect and togetherness.

  • From the Environment

    Nature, simplicity and awareness

The trees, rocks, rivers and all beings are our silent teachers.

The sacred landscape

Shaktigiri — the living Sri Chakra

In the concept, the hill is walked as a journey from the outer to the inner: from the lotus pond at the threshold, along the spring and the Kalpataru, around the nine stations of the Giri Pradakshina, to the Bindu at the summit.

Where nature becomes the protagonist

From the concept document

Where Bilva grows effortlessly, where Yoga Ganapati emerged to bless the land,

where Maa Lalitha Devi graces the earth, and the Mighty Mahadev watches over…

Where every rock resonates with a devata, every breeze carries the presence of the divine,

and the Jeeva Dhara flows, like nectar from the heavens,

Where Sri Padma Theertham becomes the threshold to Vidyaranyam.

A land sanctified by the sound of Vedas, where the Guru and Shishyas live as one with nature…

Here, knowledge is not taught but lived.
